School Bond 2019, Didactic or Dialectic
He is Georg Wilhem Friedrich Hegel, a German philosopher who taught the "dialectic." Today, "the dialectical philosophy devised by Georg Hegel underpins the entire political and social strategy of the radical left." I will modify that to say that it's not just the "left" that loves to tax and spend. When the Bond Salesmen come to town, they have a way to make even conservatives want to vote for bondage. You need to know HOW they do this great trick.
When I explored the postings of the Long Range Facilities Planning meetings at the LISD site, I immediately recognized what I saw: That old German atheist was alive and well, and his legacy of psychological manipulation continued:

Did you catch it? Why should six or seven people at one table only get ONE question? It forces the INDIVIDUAL to suppress his own thought process in order to fit in with the GROUP's thought processes.
Hegel "literally hated the individual." His groupthink teaching was critical for Marx and his promised Utopia. Socialism is the ultimate expression of the consensus building process. That is why progressives and liberals love the process so much.

The company that staged the presentation to LISD was TransCend4. Their website boasts about using this Hegelian dialect to get school bonds passed. Look how they label those who oppose the bonds:

You are a "landmine" and a "roadblock" if you have an individual thought about opposing the group plan.
Note that the capital letters of landmines and roadblocks are in the original, found at the site of the consultants / change agents who come in to a district to quash opposition.
Poor committee members! So bright, so eager to serve, and yet they got punked like a starry-eyed kid at a carnival thinking he's going to win the big prize in the game run by wizened carnies. The committee was stacked to get a YES vote. No homeschooler mom or dad will ever get picked for such a discussion -- no "roadblocks" or "landmines," please!
Let us continue. In trying to sell the local school district to hire them to make sure the voters are thoroughly brainwashed and / or silenced, they make this promise:

FOR YOU] to assure [PRE-DETERMINED OUTCOME] an informed and educated committee [USEFUL IDIOTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THE CONSENSUS PROCESS] who will seriously consider the needs of a school district [PASS THIS BOND SO THAT WE CAN BRAG AND GET HIRED AGAIN]. That planning must be intentional, strategic, proven and adaptable [NOBODY DID IT BETTER THAN HEGEL].

Back at the LISD presentation, the next four pages are devoted to explaining this dialectic process in detail. Of course, they don't give credit where credit is due, and Hegel gets no glory.
DIDACTIC vs DIALECTIC

This is so important to understand. Two different reasoning processes that presume two different world views and statuses of man, and have two different outcomes.
Didactic reasoning is based on absolutes: 2+2 = 4, black / white, male / female, light / dark. This is the traditional logic that our government, schools, and even churches used. Hegel gave us the dialectic which turned all truths into subjective propositions, i.e., everything is shades of gray. Truth is whatever the majority says, not what our Creator has said.
With didactic logic, you can hold to your principles. Every man's conscience is the most sacred of property, and he has the power to choose right or wrong. Unalienable rights are inextricable from this world view.
With dialectic, having your own opinions is a crime against the group. You must think like the group to accomplish consensus; it doesn't matter if the group opinion is totally wrong. In the dialectic, the only wrong is disagreement and independent thought. You are expected to violate your conscience in order to keep the peace of the group. Political correctness is just one inglorious spawn of this world view.

CARNIVAL COMES TO TOWN
You might say that the Hegelian dialectic is a big confidence game; the consultants / change agents are well-trained, well-paid grifters who have only ONE product to sell: the bond. (Grifter: one who obtains money or property illicitly.) School district trustees are every bit complicit, as they know that there is only one reason to hire such grifters: to get you to vote away your money and property. Even if the bond is a NO, the voters have still lost because the Trustees paid these con artists with YOUR money.
The beauty of this Hegelian dialect con game is that the victim doesn't even know he's been seduced. He succumbs to the "It's for the Kids" song and then wonders why in the heck he can't afford to pay his taxes any more. The grifters will show up again -- and again and again, singing the same song, with a few new lyrics.
YOUR DUTY
What to do? Determine your world view, your principles that you live by. Ask yourself what your basic convictions are about taxation, public education, purpose of the family, role of government...and grifters.
Examine the logic that is presented to you: Is it Hegel's dialectic with its emotional arguments and predetermined outcomes, or is it didactic based on eternal truths that are beneficial to all?
If school trustees or any public servant are willing to seduce you with the Hegelian dialectic, do they really deserve your trust?
